ESPN Welcomes Back Sports Broadcaster Treavor Scales to Network
Scales is set to become a new anchor of "SportsCenter".
Treavor Scales is returning to ESPN after a four-year hiatus.
What’s Happening:
- ESPN has announced that Treavor Scales is returning to the network after some years away.
- Since leaving, Scales has been a host for CW Sports’ college football broadcasts, along with working for Bally Sports and FanDuel Sports Network.
- He initially worked for ESPN for nearly a decade, hosting SportsCenter on Snapchat, The Wrap Up, The College Football Show, and appearing in numerous roles across broadcast and digital.
- As he returns, he will step behind the desk as an anchor for SportsCenter, the signature series for the sports network.
- Graduating from Harvard University as a running back on the football team, he began his broadcast career with ESPN’s initial digital ventures, so this marks a glorious return home for the broadcasting pro.
What They’re Saying:
- Treavor Scales: “Returning to ESPN to host SportsCenter is the latest scene in what feels like a dream sequence of a career – one that started in Remote Operations at ESPN as a Crewing Coordinator. Being given the opportunity to, once again, play a role in what is the gold standard for sports news and highlights is truly an honor, and I’m ecstatic to join this incredibly talented team."
- Mike Foss, ESPN Senior Vice President of Studio & Entertainment: “Treavor brings an authentic creative energy that fits perfectly with where SportsCenter is headed. He’s got a great feel for storytelling, knows how to connect with fans, and understands how to thrive across multiple platforms. We’re excited to have him back in the lineup."
